Her performance was near flawless, though.

Lipnitskaya doesn't skate, she -- goes to work. Maybe it's a Russian thing.

It may well come. Her moves were not mechanical, so she has the grace to develop the artistic side...

(44,572 posts)Unfortunately, their personalities end up being too "regimented," too. But as you say, hopefully it is something that she can outgrow.
At the risk of sounding "old school," I want to see them giving themselves as much pleasure as they're trying to give me.

(26,117 posts)her performance contributed to her team winning the gold - it wasn't, itself, a gold medal performance (as it would be for the individual event).
That said I loved her performance.
