I'm not a flower person - I am allergic. But my now-husband was smart enough to bring a dozen roses to our first Valentine's Day (we had been dating about 8 months at that point). We've been together over 15 years now.

if they are going out to dinner, movie, or doing something later i don't see the need to send flowers to work. just something she has to cart back home after work (cause you wouldn't want to leave flowers at work over the weekend).
maybe he'll get her flowers tonight. or do something great.
girls don't always need flowers at work. girls like a lot of other things too.
