(11,862 posts)My hippie days...beach front basement apartment, black lights, strobe lights, rice bead curtains, rooftop sitting...watching the traffic from all the weekenders returning home, offering coolaid to the stopped traffic, and hopping into an occasional car for a quick doobie...then walking back to our apartment..those were GREAT days!!!
Tripping out...hearing a knock at the door..then open it, and in walks the cat!!! Freaked out...turns out he was caught between the screen door and the front door
The only downside was about 6 inches of water in the apartment after a torrential rain

(4,056 posts)Winwood, Clapton and Baker had egos that didn't mesh, but sounded AMAZING together. But that said, I like all of Steve Winwood's musical endeavours: from Spencer Davis thru to his commercial 90's stuff.
Thanx for the Traffic mems!!!'

(12,132 posts)I got a chance to see him live a few years ago (he was opening for Tom Petty) and he played a lot of great stuff from all his career EXCEPT he didn't play Low Spark. Have to admit I was a little disappointed by that but the rest was so wonderful I couldn't hold the grudge very long.
