Amazing! I actually have some free time this evening.

I've been very busy. Work has been demanding 60 hours a week of my time. It's not that I don't like the extra money, but it has been hard earned with the extra hours and the harsh winter we've had here. I drive a truck for a living and also spend part of my day working outdoors. Spring semester also started up at school and I'm taking three classes. That's one class away from being considered a full time college student. I've had this work and school schedule since May of 2012 and I'll have it until August of 2015 when I graduate from school if I manage to keep it together until then. And if I do, there is going to be one hell of a graduation party and you are all invited.

In other news, I got my taxes done and already have my refund. I got a couple of hefty tax credits for my tuition from school so we got a really nice refund this year. My wife and I split it down the middle and we are just going to have fun with it. She had some money problems before she met me, but we've got it all straightened out now. It makes me feel so good to see her being able to do some things she couldn't do before. It's very sweet. I love my wife more than anything and I always will.

That's within our tax refund range, but I'm afraid we won't have the time to do it. Tobin S. Feb 2014 #5

How good to hear from you! And to hear such good things, too.

I think you will manage to keep it together until August of 2015--that's not very long from now.

I'm glad you two are having fun, and with tax refunds yet!

My left shoulder continues to heal; next week I'll start out-patient PT. I'm driving now, and it's great.

Best money I ever spent using a tax refund!

Take her to Hawaii. Go to a travel agent. Seriously. They can find you package deals you won't find easily on the web by yourself and you will be surprised at how cheap 7 days on Maui can be. Rental car and all.

Granted, I did this in 2004 but we stayed here;

We were in the center of that building, just under where the "RD" In "South Kihei RD" appears. Sort of like a Super 8 Motel quality, but the price was totally cool and the waves came ashore 45 feet from the bed we slept in.

If memory serves, it was less than two grand for the two of us for airfare from LA, a rental car and 6 nights.

At least not this year. My wife just started a new job and she has no vacation time available.
