1. Defending the Undefendable. My love for A Passion Play

It was the first album I ever bought for myself. Yes, it is not as good as Thick as a Brick.

I was 11 I think. I enjoyed the mysticism of it. The odd time signatures. Martin Barre is always good and yes, I even liked The story of the Hare who lost his Spectacles.

Well, I'm all for leaving and that being done,
I've put in a request to take up my turn
in that forsaken paradise that calls itself "Hell"
where no-one has nothing and nothing is- well -meaning fool,
pick up thy bed and rise up from your gloom smiling.
Give me your hate and do as the loving heathen do.


What's not to Love?

As for Floyd, more of a Meddle fan than AHM.

It's got some bluesier parts that I like a lot - it's more mellow than A Passion Play, which is a bit stranger.

That said, I prefer Thick as a Brick to APP, and Animals to AHM.

But my answer tomorrow might be different.
