Which Classic Author Is Your Soulmate? (Fun Way to Waste a Few Minutes if you are so inclined)

You got: Anton Chekhov
Calm and contemplative, you need someone who shares your desire to lie in a hammock in the Russian countryside, drink champagne, and think about the meaning of life. Both of you know that love, alas, is a fickle emotion, so you must cherish it for the fleeting moment in which it graces you.

Huh?
Part of the blurb said: Oscar dines at the best clubs with the most interesting people, so he’s also your ticket to a wicked (pun intended) social scene.

That does not fit with what I answered. My answers did not seem very social at all.

That's why I thought it odd that I got him.
I picked the log cabin out in the woods. I said my favorite Sunday afternoon was walking on the boardwalk. I thought a proposal while hiking was the best. My favorite university was Columbia. Those things sound very un-Oscar Wilde-like.

You’re a real charmer, and you need someone who can match your charisma and witty banter. Oscar dines at the best clubs with the most interesting people, so he’s also your ticket to a wicked (pun intended) social scene. But beneath that flamboyant exterior is just a little boy desperately craving your love.

However, I don't agree.

So, instead I took the
Which Pet Should You Actually Have?
http://www.buzzfeed.com/chelseamarshall/which-pet-should-you-actually-have
Test, and got myself a Wombat.

I didn't think about it, but now looking at it, that is probably perfect.
You got: Wombat

The older you get, the wiser you get and you value that trait in others. You’re fantastic at maintaining long-term relationships with people so you need a pet who will do the same. You’re a quirkier version of a “dog person,” which is kind of exactly what a wombat is. Advice: You may need to move to Australia before living out this pet dream.

You want a man who’s simple, self-sufficient, and hardworking. A man who loves nature and flouts public opinion to create his own movement. A man who doesn’t even have a Twitter or Facebook. The two of you can live together, out in the tranquility of the woods, with no Wi-Fi, no electricity, no human contact whatsoever…actually, maybe you should retake this quiz.

You need a manly man. A man who doesn’t mince his words. A man who knows that love that is true and real creates a respite from death. You’ll need to keep an eye out for him because he’s pretty popular with the ladies, but you understand that his wandering eye just comes from a fear of rejection.

Makes sense I guess. The 3 authors that I have the most affinity with are Kerouac, Steinbeck, and Hunter Thompson, so Hemingway would be good company too.
