THey have that lil girl from the movie "Beast of the Southern Wild" playing Annie (she was nominated for an Oscar for that Beast role). Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan and Jamie Foxx as the bilionaire.

That little girl is just adorable and the movie looks very promising from the trailer!

1. What the... I don't even... what in the holy hell was THAT?!

Sorry, but no. Just no. Some movies were just perfect. Gone with the Wind. Oliver! The Sound of Music. The original Annie. You simply cannot remake them, and you damn sure don't rewrite them. What's next? The new improved Hip-Hop Sound Of Music starring Beyoncee as Maria and Snoop Dog as Von Trapp? Just kill me now .

3. Me too. And the girl playing Annie is such a charmer

She's only 10 years old and already nominated once for an Oscar (Beasts of the Southern Wild).

However the hate is already coming out on the discussion boards (not here) about how they could cast someone not white-skin & red hair for the role of Annie. Seriously how could cast anyone else BUT Quvenzhane Wallis for the part. She's talented, she's adorable and she's one of the biggest names in child stars today. If you want the movie to be a success you need to find the best talent for it and that is Wallis.
