HELP-Need Computer experts savvy

Moved the wife's computer to a new room, plugged in everything, but nothing works - any suggestions, please use non-tech terms-

1. You have your power extension strip plugged into itself

instead of into an electrical outlet. Take the white wire unplug it from the power strip and insert into an electrical outlet.
