Graywarrior payback time

ENGLEWOOD – Colin Schaefer, P.E. Instructor at Clayton Elementary, was duct taped to the gym wall and suspended at least a foot off the ground on Wednesday.

By the smile on his face though, you can tell it was done all for fun. The 130 students that helped smack duct tape over him and onto the wall participated in Jump Rope For Heart to raise money for the American Heart Association during two weeks in February.

The students had a goal to raise $3,000. Schaefer announced to the school that if they reached the goal, he would let each one who raised funds help duct tape him to the wall.

The students not only met their goal, but exceeded it by raising $4,298.
