day three on the vapor pen and no cigs

still want a real smoke, but nothing i can't handle. i use it inside, but still prefer to go outside because it seems to satisfy the cravings a bit better. it's also been far too nice to not be outside.

wake up routine doesn't feel disrupted, nor does the driving routine. nursed a few beers at my buddy's the other night (he smokes inside) and i made it through fine.

it was nice to have an extra 40 bucks for groceries yesterday, too. yes, it is a good move for my health, but it's even better for the bank account.

things have been so stressful at home lately that i was worried about being able to pull this off, but i think i can do this.

I've been doing the "follow the money" thing too. It wasn't my motive, but it's a fun way of having something to measure against. Better breathing and health are more gradual and unquantifiable. And since it's 7 bucks a pack here, it's great to say "100 days = $700"

need to work out the money side for the vapor refills, but our savings should cover phone and internet bills. it is nice to have something quantifiable on this journey.

The money comment amazed me. You are talking some serious $$ immediate savings--and imagine that over time.

One thing you will really like is when your taste buds awaken. Food tastes so much better and I do mean the healthy things, like salads, vegetables, etc.

Keep it up!

i am already trying to be mindful of my seasoning, mostly the salt. i love veggies and salads and whatnot, but they're usually pretty heavily salted when i eat them. cooking will take a bit of adjusting, but i'll get it right.

2 weeks to get here. Probably sooner, but I have to go visit my sister next week and it will be a stressful trip because my mother (who moved in with her 6 months ago) is being a complete ass. Quit date on 4/1 when I return.

Keep posting your progress! It's encouraging to me and probably helps hold you accountable as well.

Let me know if you need to vent/cry/whatever. I've tried to quit before and only those that have smoked get how freaking hard it really is.

this was an impromptu thing, no time to gear up for it, but it was something i'd have to do sooner or later.

the pen is really helpful because i still get that feeling of routine and makes it easier to be around people who smoke, which is a lot of people in my life.

and have been on the no nicotine juice a little over two weeks. I don't even think to use it much any more, maybe 4 or 5 puffs a day.I bought the strongest nicotine juice mix to use at first, the bottle for a pack and a half a day and a bottle mixed for half a pack and the one with zero nicotine. The transition was smooth and painless no urges, irritability or anything. Good luck and keep track of the money you are saving.

I come here ...not often.

I feel lost and out of touch.
But I remembered your post, and was inspired.
I've not had a cigarette in 48 hours ...
Yet I am still battling nicotine with the lowest dose with my e-cig.

It was so difficult to switch from rolling my own...American Spirit.... to the e-cig.
I'm assuming that you're not getting the nicotine. Am I correct?

Are you doing plain vapor?
I hope to reach that goal soon.

Thank you for being my inspiration.

peace & love~
