You know the story behind it -- he falls asleep and dreams of his girlfriend represented by the flute theme (#1) they go to a ball and waltz (movement #2) they go to the country, he is convicted of murdering her and is hanged (March to the Scaffold, movement #4) and goes to a witches' sabbath (Hexensabbath, mvt. #5).
