5. my least favorite type is a Paper Captain

It's a derogatory term for someone who took the test to get a Captain's License (ship) but has no experience on the water. They often like to throw around the fact that they are a Captain even though they dont know their port from their starboard.

7. Used to be a deal here in Austin called Aqua Fest.

All the muckety mucks dressed up in phony naval jackets with a lot of gold braid and called themselves Commodores
We called them Commode Doors.
