today i am trying to focus on gratitude

things have been pretty deep in the shitter for a bit now and it's really wearing on me, so i'm trying to adjust my attitude.

my loneliness was alleviated by a visit from my bestie this weekend. she hugged me, listened to me and didn't judge me. she bought us chinese for dinner on friday. i got rave reviews the meal i made last night. but she blew me away when she covered my grocery bill for the next two weeks, which nearly sent me into tears of gratitude there in the store.

i was able to enjoy her full visit because my boss let me take friday off on short notice and i have paid time off to cover it.

we're finally all current on the bills thanks to the generosity of my mom and mil, so i am no longer living in fear that everything is going to be cut off.

i was able to get my dim little puppy kitty into the annual free vet clinic this weekend for a physical and rabies shot. the vet said she's in good shape, which is great news for my 12-year-old girl.

money has been tight, but i found enough cash in my pocket to treat myself to a few cheap beers at my dive and they have wifi so i can still talk to you guys.

and then there's you lot, a kind and wonderful group of people, great for love and laughs.

things may be shit, but i'll deal with tomorrow. i want to make today about the good.

Pain in the ass to have with me sometimes, like on road trips, but worth the effort because she doesn't judge, never complains, love me and others unconditionally, and is a constant reminder of how important it is to love life.

A good friend of mine says to always live in the moment, and I think that's a great idea.

Gratitude is also a wonderful way to feel. Of course we're human, and it's not always possible to feel that way.

I think what you're doing is wonderful!

there is great beauty in the world if we stop for a moment to look at it.
