During a house fire in Melbourne, Australia, this Jack Russell terrier named, Leo, risks his own life to save four newborn kittens he refused to abandon. After being rescued by firefighters, Leo made a full recovery and the kittens all lived.

No mention of her, though another article said the family escaped with one dog. When the firefighters checked the house for any more people they found Leo standing over the box of kittens in a corner of a bedroom. He collapsed, so they gave him oxygen and heart massage.
