Charter Security Suite--is it really free and is it worth downloading?

I got this email from Charter:

If it is an advertisement emailed to you.
Avoid it.

You're better off going to sites like cnet and find similar programs that are downloaded and read customer reviews.

They offer McAfee Anti-virus free with Road Runner internet. I never bothered with it. I've used it before.
