Charter Security Suite--is it really free and is it worth downloading?

I got this email from Charter:

1. Well, to tell the truth, one of the simple rules that I follow on the internet

If it is an advertisement emailed to you.
Avoid it.

You're better off going to sites like cnet and find similar programs that are downloaded and read customer reviews.

2. TWC does the same thing

They offer McAfee Anti-virus free with Road Runner internet. I never bothered with it. I've used it before.
