Look at what I found! I must have forgotten about it. I didn't think it had been this long since I cleaned it out last so maybe it just got overlooked. Spring cleaning has a way of finding these things I guess.

Yup, you read right. That expiration date says Febuary of 1991! I have a friend who wants to try one. I told him he is nuts! It sparkles in the sun like a crystal.

(30,717 posts)about briefcase size, that my husband had in the upstairs bathroom. There were old things in it, like mercurochrome, old ointments that had hardened, and cold remedies much like the ones in your picture. My husband did not want to throw them out, and we got into an argument.
Our adult son happened to drop by. He convinced his dad that all that stuff, if used, could do more harm than good. We threw out all the stuff, including the suitcase.
My husband would be a world class hoarder if we did not stop him. His father was, and what a mess it was to take care of his belongings after he died!
My husband is not the only culprit. I have no doubt that I have a few items in my kitchen cupboards that are long overdue for the trash. Fortunately, I have started dating some of the things I have in there. Food expiration dates can be indecipherable or deceptive.

(31,506 posts)These are little bottles and cans that I remember being in the cupboard when I was learning to cook and I left home in 1966. She has no intention of using these, but displays them with some of the other vintage kitchen items she has collected.

(219 posts)Age just catches up and we really do forget about things. I know I have had to start dating things in the freezer that I have wrapped up. I still find some mystery meats in there now and again.

I guess that might be the BEST thing I found though.
