Wonder what this means, if anything ! ( Neurological theories of dreams )
I was driving a big yellow school bus full of minimal security inmates from Chicago to Florida (?!). They were not in shackles or any kind of restraints, hence my minimal security comment. Anyway, we stop for lunch or something, I think, in Kentucky. We get back on the bus and drive on. A few hundred miles down the road, I notice that I'm missing some inmates The other inmates so helpfully pointed out who was missing ! They ALL had Hispanic surnames, for some reason. By the time I noticed they were missing, I was in TN or some place, so I'm thinking OMG I'm in huge trouble now for not noticing or filing a police report.
Very strange dream ! I have NO idea what that might have meant. How about your latest strange dream ?

(3,871 posts)eta: Ok, to be serious, I've been to Chicago. Big whoop. I've worked in a prison. I've ridden on school buses (haven't we all), but I've never driven one (bucket list here we come lol). I have no issues with Hispanic/Latino people. So, I really have no clue. WAG, something to do with my prior employment, but that's a really wild guess. To be more meta, it's kind of a failure-themed dream. Hmm. Paging Dr. Freud from beyond the grave..... ....actually Dr. Jung would be better, Freud was too fixated on sex and aggression to his discredit.

(30,947 posts)which I remembered, and then days later some events would occur that directly related to those dreams. Pay attention to the dreams that you remember clearly. There have been many dreams I have had that have happened in some ways related to them.
One example: I used to have horses and the pasture was in a very remote area of Miami. There were two cemeteries close to the pasture. I dreamed I was feeding my horses at night. Then suddenly, I found myself in one of the cemeteries. It was dark and I started to run and then I ran into a body hanging from a tree. It had no legs. A couple of days later, I was at the laundry and my mother drove up and had a man in her car. She used to rent out the spare bedroom in her house. She said that she wanted me to meet her new roomer. I looked into the car to say hello and saw that he had no legs. He was a Vietnam vet who lost his legs in combat. I was totally freaked out.
I have had many other dreams like that, but I can just say to pay attention to your dreams because they will affect your life in some way.

(6,011 posts)but I have often read/heard that you are represented by the other things/people, etc., in your dreams.
If you think of each of the things, situations, people in your dream as aspects of yourself rather than what they are in your dream, does it seem to reveal anything to you?
The most recent explanation of dreams I heard was that it gives our brains a way to sort out and file or discard stuff that we encountered, to make room for more stuff. I just read much of the wiki page you linked to, and saw a reference to that.
