Amon Amarth...sorta funny

So, my 13 year old just called and asked me to add a couple songs to his iPod (he isn't allowed to buy songs himself), and he asked for "The Hero" by Amon Amarth...and started to spell it for me! As if I hadn't heard of them. LOL! Kids.

Does anyone else have funny stories about their little people?

I may have, but I don't really know the names of bands sometimes.

Did you know, that I've loved the Cure's songs for years, but had no idea it was that band that played them?

I friggin suck.

One of the radio stations I like plays slightly obscure oldies ("the B sides" according to their tagline). They NEVER back-announce the songs, so I often have no idea who just played a song I liked. Grr!

I've taken to loading their online streaming app (without plying the stream) just so I can read the playlist in real time.

YEARS to figure out who they are.

Nowadays, with Shazam and Sound Hound, it makes things so much easier.
