Just as an odd aside, if you own your own soda machine and it's in a publicly-accessible area on private property and you fill it with canned-beer for your own consumption and that of your guests with a nominal price ($0.50) only sufficient to keep it stocked...the ATF will confiscate your soda machine for running "an illegal unlicensed beer distributor."

I never did get why charged with running an illegal distributor rather than an illegal pub. Also, if you can prove you're EDIT:intentionally losing money on it...it ceases to be illegal. People scoffed when I saved the receipt for that Coke machine.
