Just heard a shot not far away. This neighbourhood has had two shootings in the last month.

this month). Either I didn't hear the sirens or it was not a gunshot.

3. I didn't hear a siren either. Maybe it was fireworks.

6. Same thing where I live.

We have a 2 lane highway between us and the druggie area of town.
rapid repeating gunshots common, ( NOT hunting guns) 3-4 times a month, usually on a weekend night.
The sound really carries plus it is less than a mile away as the crow flies. Once in awhile the newspaper reports on a gunshot victim being found after the cops respond to the shots.
Last fall there was a manhunt for a suspected fugitive in the woods right behind our house. They even had the bloodhounds ut, which WAS pretty interesting to listen to.
