Does anyone know the title of this book?

Mixed teenage girl comes home to no mother but toddler brother (this is not new for her). Mother is an alcoholic with mixed teenage daughter (Anne I think), with two half, all white siblings (I wanna say Casey and Samuel), who are low school aged and toddler. She ends up discovering that her mother is dead, by the reflection of a yellow car in the lake, and takes care of her younger siblings. This includes fleeing to the woods and camping out with a friend. Significant scene remembered--Anna decides to get drunk off whiskey the way her mother did and had her first hangover experience. In the end, the younger kids get adopted, but don't want the older mixed Anna, so she is to be adopted b y the local mom and pop store owners that know her and are impressed with her effort. They arrange open adoption to see Anna...Can't be %100 percent sure of the names, but I have tried multiple searches, and unable to find this book. "Homecoming" is similar, but not correct. Thanks for help!

If no one knows what this book could be, do you know where else I can post this question that might get an answer?

There are several websites where you can give a short synopsis of your book and hopefully someone will have the answer. Here is one but there are quite a few others, both Amazon and Barnes and Noble, have book query forums too and Google has a book search area too. www.librarything.com has a book search forum too. Good luck, I'm still searching for the titles of two really obscure books myself.

Actually, just had another thought and you might find your answer on one of these sites more quickly:

http://www.adoptivefamilies.com/articles.php?aid=1941

http://forums.adoption.com/book-reviews/119950-novels-include-adoption-storyline.html

https://www.goodreads.com/list/tag/adoption -- Ha! Goodreads has their own section for adoption-themed books!

Wow, if you don't find it in one of the above, I'd be surprised. Please LMK if you find it, now I want to read that book!

Glad to be of service. I had the thought while typing the message to search for adoption-themed books and my hunch proved correct. I'm an adoptive parent and there is everything you can think of related to same on the internet. Thanks for replying and letting me know the name of the book!
