shops that partake have window decals. When it is tie to cut, they wash your hair. Brush it gently, tie it back, measure then cut it into a bag.

I don't know the process after that but I thought it was cool.

That is such a worthwhile place to donate your long hair.

I think it was last summer when I saw a flight attendant with super thick long hair; she told me she had been donating it to them too, off and on, once it got long enough. I thought it was a cool thing for her to do, and I think the same for you!

My daughter's dear friend, a former pro-football player, used to keep the Locks of Love regularly stocked with his beautiful curly tresses. It's a wonderful thing to do.

Good for you!

There is a student at the university I work at here in Korea who is doing that. The last time I saw him he was still working on growing his hair out a few more inches. He's due to show up from mandatory military service this summer, so all the hair will come off after he gets his "locks" cut.

My daughter lost her beautiful, long hair to chemo this year. Actually, she cut it off before it could fall out, but she had never cut her hair before (only trimmed it), so it was it was a difficult moment.

She heard about
Locks of Love and donated her beautiful hair. I was very proud of her. Here she is meeting Obama.

My Rachel had beautiful red hair, long enough to sit on. She did the same thing. Made me so proud of her! (She hasn't met Obama, yet.)

My hair has never grown more than 6 inches.
I think.

I can't even imagine my hair being that long.
I have wavy hair, so I've had it short since high school.

but I hadn't cut my hair in over a year except for trims.

My hubby likes it long but I don't. I just got tired of it. Wanted to do something.

A couple of the shops here will cut your hair for free if you donate.
