We've created a monster.. porch kitty update.. pic heavy

So previously we couldn't get close enough to even touch him. After working on getting him used to us being around and getting close, we finally were able to just do a quick touch on the head or back, just something to let him know we were harmless. Well now we can pet and pick him up, he comes in and stays for hours before wanting back out. BUT .. he so likes the human touch and being petted he insists on it constantly.. lol.. whether he likes it or not, I think he is domesticated.

and of course we can't forget our meatloaf..

but the notch in Blondie's ear might indicate that he/she's been microchipped. On the other hand, it might just be a battle scar. It could be worth checking out. Nice work creating a comfort zone.

frost bite over the winter. We couldn't get him to come in then, and our past winter was a duzy, so we just made him a home on our deck. His ears where fine when he first showed up. Thanks for the interest though.

Or neutered....

That first pic really looks like a classic ear notch.

at least, as far as cats are ever domesticated.

Those are a couple of nice-looking cats.

Mouse's father was the biggest cat I'd ever seen--until Mouse was full grown
and weighed in at 22 lbs!

They were raised as brothers, but born to two different litters in the same house
several days apart.

Simba was every bit as big as Mouse, too. (The diameter of that lamp table they were on is 26"!)
They were great buddies.

It gives me hope that I'll convert the little stray I'm feeding.

It so illustrates that animals need and crave loving.

Hugs to you for being good to kitties.

this one would ever let us touch him, he was so skittish at first. Patience is required.

Looks just like Ralph s dearly departed brother, Bob. He was a lovely champagne color. And partly feral his whole llife. Have to say Bob was the baddest cat we ever had.
