The origins of the game are so far back in the mists of time that it's really impossible to credit one tribe or confederation. It was played by all the Canadian tribes around the Great Lakes. But since the Algonquins aren't fielding a team, the Iroquois will do as the "creator" team for the game. Hopefully they will do better than the English have done at futbol these past World Cups, eh?
