Has anyone ever used Priceline for car rentals?

Particularly last minute car rentals?

Is there any substantial savings?

I've never even used Priceline in my life for anything.

So frustrated right now.

a few times. Priceline and Hotwire. You can get a good car cheaper, sometimes a lot cheaper. Just be aware that you will still have to add on the daily insurance charges, there may be a fee for an extra driver, and it is likely that you will have to pick it up at an airport.

But it was still a good deal. I check Expedia to make sure it's cheaper.
