(13,918 posts)The single best piece of cookware I ever bought was at a Safeway. It cost me a buck ninety nine over ten years ago. I still have it, though the finish is wearing off. That was over 10 years ago. As compared to the 20 set I got from amazon that has lasted about 6 years, or the 40+ per piece cookware that seems to last 2 years max.
On second thought, though, the last few times I have looked at the cookware in a grocery store, it has looked like crap. As with anything you buy, you should always do your research and shop around for items you need before buying anything.

(100,055 posts)Most grocery stores have a horrible selection and are way overpriced when it comes to beer and you can get better deals and better selection at liquor stores and places like Bev Mo.

(30,947 posts)Beer and wine were available in the grocery stores but not on Sunday. But there just a vote on the ballot here in Georgia where the voters spoke out, and now beer and wine are available on Sunday after 12:30. That's because it is after church lets out (I'm in the Bible Belt). Now the liquor stores are doing a booming business on Sunday.

(22,845 posts)The Dollar Tree stores sell nice greeting cards at two for a dollar, 50 cents each. And most of these are made in the U.S.!
They also recently started selling slightly more "upscale" cards at $1 a pop, but not all of those are domestically produced.
I've been buying Dollar Tree cards for years. It sure beats paying $4.95 for one at CVS.
