Woke up this morning to a thumping backache centering on the lower left. Then it segued into the dry heaves. The heaves are gone but the backache remains.
This was the beginning of my first kidney stone. Looks like a couple months later I'm getting ready for Act II.
Wonderful.
The GOOD news is, I have an appointment with my urologist today. At least that's ONE leg up on it....

(3,065 posts)I've had 20 or so in my lifetime and I dread that feeling of the stone traveling through my body. Worst pain I have ever had. I was retaining too much calcium in my system and the sawbones had to cut a piece of my thyroid gland out to stop them. Haven't had one in about 8 years.
