Weekend music to chill by....Gershwin Prelude No. 2 edition!!

George Gershwin playing his Prelude #2 in C Sharp Minor. He played it faster than most other pianists, because he could play faster than most everyone else!! If you're interested in more of Gershwin, get the CD "Gershwin Plays Gershwin:The Piano Rolls".

I love playing his songs on the piano. So many moving parts, and interesting jazz chords.

His first hit was "Swanee" when he was about 21. Truly a prodigy and a great loss to music that he died so young. Sort of like Franz Schubert, the greatest of melodists, when he was 31.
