According to the "Austrian School" a Fart is a "Good"

No joke. I am writing fiction about Prince Rudolf and so, of course, I am reading up on his economic guru, Carl Menger, and upon reading the first two pages of his "Principles of Economics" in which he defines a "good" (as in goods and services) I was amazed to discover that a perfectly ordinary human fart fits his definition of a "good" to a T.

Which strikes me as an apt metaphor for an economic system which, as best I can tell, which created solely to give capitalists something to use to refute Marxism in the first decades of the 20th century.

Judge for yourself.
