This seasons has truly been a joy to watch but like all good things it must come to an end.
Last night was another great episode. Sure there was some flaws but in the end we saw Hoyt and Jessica reunite. Proof that True Love wins in the end even if someone's mind has been glamoured. It was so good not just to see these 2 reunited but to see how Jason has grown over the years. I hope by the end of next week's episode that Hoyt and Jason can be reunited as best buds!
But I think the funniest scene last night (the one that all TB fans are talking about ) - Ginger finally gets her wish and gets to have sex with Eric. That was probably one of the funniest scenes ever of the episode and in the end I'm not sure if there was actual penetration (when Eric stood up his pants were still zipped up) or if he just fingered her and she didn't know any better.
I was a bit sad at how Sam just 'disappeared'. I really didn't like his girlfriend (whose name I still don't know) and think someone like same is going to feel out of place living in a city like Chicago. But I did get a good chuckle when Sheriff Andy read his heartfelt message from Sam and all it said was 'I retire'. I'd like to think that Andy would make a good mayor of Bon Temps.
In the end we'll just have to wait one more week to see how it ends. Does Sookie end up with anyone or does she realize she wants a life free of Vampires. Will Bill die? Will Pam die? Will everyone find a way to make the cure free to all Vampires instead of forcing them to exist with Hep-V on a version that only keeps the virus in check.
One week left. It is good that it's ended, maybe it's me but I think Eric has aged more than any of them in the show and technically he shouldn't age at all.

(10,096 posts)Hey,
That was a funny scene with Eric. I thought the scene with Jason calling the airline customer service was kind of funny too. He's a stud and he knows it, hehe. I have no idea what all is going to happen, sure seems like a lot to wrap up in one episode.
Peace

(95,337 posts)and then the other half will be a flash forward. In the previews they showed Sam returning to Bon Temps - will be interesting to see if it's just for a visit or if he realizes he hates living in the city.
Also from the previews I suspect Sookie might be turned.

(16,327 posts)especially with him having not said goodbye to Sookie in person. I really can't imagine the series ending without a scene with the two of them -- I think back to his days as a dog watching over her and I think we deserve it.
Ginger and Eric -- oh. my. gosh. THAT was hysterical! I was sitting there thinking to myself, "Oh no no no they are going there?? They ARE going there!" Eric did do some adjusting after he got up from the throne, but I couldn't really tell what had happened. The actress who played Ginger got the role of a lifetime -- and created a wonderful character.
I have no idea how they are going to go on Bill & Sookie. I can't imagine Sookie choosing to be turned, even for Bill. Worlow as a fae vamp should have shown her the dangers involved. It would certainly be different than the books, and perhaps that that is what the producers want more than anything.
Cannot wait for Sunday. May have to spend the week binge watching the series in preparation.

(95,337 posts)I think the reasons she first agreed to being turned was because she thought Bill and Eric had moved on and Sam was already interested in someone else (Nicole). Thinking she'd wind up alone she figured she might as well be turned. It wasn't until Alcide showed up at Terry's funeral that made Sookie realize there was someone else. Sookie is a bit clingy - she needs a man in her life. Sookie knows that if she were turned Fae she would still be able to daywalk since she would be a Fae/Vamp hybrid, so being turned probably isn't as scary of an idea if it was with the man she loved.
I don't' think we saw the last of Sam. He'll be back next week and I haven't ruled him out as ending up with Sookie (That's what happened in the last book of the series). I can't see someone like Sam being happy in the big city.

(16,327 posts)One the last season:
"Heres my sincere hope: that we get to see more of everybody we love, because everybody is under the banner of fewer stories. The story is 'for every human a vampire, for every vampire a human,' and now that theres a lesser need for separate plot and separate story development for every single character that we have, were actually going to get to spend more time with them. Thats my hope, thats the motivation, and thats where its all coming from."
All the vamp human pairings: Jess & Hoyt, Arlene and Keith, Lafayette & James -- anyone else we might be looking at?? Might be a clue we are looking at Sookie and a vamp, not her turning.

(46,699 posts)Yes, it's likely that Sookie will become a vampire, because it's apparent that Bill does not want to live since he believes he has nothing to offer a human since they cannot have offspring. But Sookie can push his hand and force him to survive by giving up her humanity and removing the objection of procreating.
I'm still seeing Eric and Pam realizing that they're meant for each other.

(16,327 posts)as being "meant for each other" but not in a traditional romantic relationship. I think they transcend that -- kind of the way a gay man's/straight woman's relationship can be -- they adore each other in a way that cannot be undone like a romantic relationship.
