But it's only been about 15 years since I quit.

I just had a dream about it last week - and, as usual, I was incredibly relieved when I realized it was a dream.

Subconscious is a weird thing.

And I do miss it terribly...... But I know that if I EVER have a drag of a cigarette I'd start again. But what's funny is... I can smoke joints and not even think about a regular cigarette. I only smoke the MJ about once a month or so......

The one where we start smoking again.
For some it is quite vivid and real. It (was) is for me.
When I first quit I had it at a frequency of about once a month. It eventually tapered off to the point where I think it has been over a year.
- It was always the same dream almost in every detail and I would always wake up in a cold sweat, having returned to smoking.

I quite nearly 40 years ago. Everyone I have ever talked to who has quit remembers some form of the 'starting again' dream.

Dreams now and then. And there are times, like when I'm really tired, when the phone ringing has one hand looking for the cigs while the other goes for the phone.

Because I did a gradual taper-off method, I had almost no nicotine in my system when I quit, had no cravings after I did, forgot I ever smoked in a couple of weeks.

Cigarette smoke repulses me now, and has for a long time. I so rarely encounter it that I am shocked when I do. No attraction for me, whatsoever.

Sometimes spontaneous combustion follows smoking.

Congrats on being smoke free all these years!
