As good as Lounge lotto gets: 3 days respite from moi: "No internet access"

Yeah, the first real rain yesterday in a year or more and poof went my access. On a long weekend. I had been proud of patronizing a LOCAL company instead of gigantic greedy corporations, and not had any trouble in a decade, but it turns out the wee problem is that this LOCAL company observes this holiday, not like the gigantic greedy corporations that have 24/7 support, so there.

After exhausting all of my tech knowledge (disconnecting, reconnecting), I hung my hopes on its being the ancient router, and spent TWO HOURS on the phone with their gigantic greedy 24/7 tech support, only to have them do the unthinkable for them, which was that they actually threw in the towel and did not charge me because they couldn't fix it.

So here I am at the library to make my exits from e-mail and here.

So, enjoy the bar-b-q, or the elegant Lounge gourmet parties, or concerts: One less irritant here for the duration.
