But I was covering a high school game at the time.
Got stuck in the traffic jam around the Bowl though.

I'd be worried they'd overshoot the field and land the chutists in a bleacher...

First win over an FBS team since the second-winningest program in college football (and the winningest is Michigan, so we might have a chance to catch up! ) dropped to I-AA in the '80s. I wonder if the Yale Precision Marching Band did anything for the occasion?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yale_Precision_Marching_Band#Notable_stunts

In October 1985, six YPMB members were suspended after dropping their pants at halftime during the Yale-Holy Cross game (New York Times, October 20, 1985, 11CN p. 17). Only one week earlier, the band was forbidden by West Point officials from performing its halftime show during the Army-Yale game for the script's insinuation that certain government officials were communists. The following season, in the Yale-Army game at New Haven, the YPMB took the unusual step of marching in straight lines for several minutes before breaking into its usual scatter formations. (NYT 10/7/86, B4) Before the band left the field, members removed their blue blazers on the field, spelling out "USA."

tailgate originator's had a daughter in the band. I like their send-up of the precision marching bands of the Big Ten schools, altho I have recently come to appreciate the latter much more.

My husband makes Wisconsin style bratwurst (brats) at one of the games each season and serves it with traditional kaiser rolls, onions and mustard. He orders them to be sent from a German sausage maker in Wisconsin. If he finds out there is a member of the band from WI he wraps the brat, with all fixings, in foil so the kid can take it with him/her and usually gets jealous stares from other band members!

Last SAturday was a downer. I felt sure in the first quarter that Yale would beat Dartmouth ("Smartmouth" to some). I was disappointed that Yale didn't.

What are the hopes for the Harvard game?
