Nude man slain in Daly City over sex debt

A convicted felon has been charged with murder for fatally shooting a man at a home in Daly City during an argument over a debt to a prostitute, a prosecutor said Wednesday.
Demond Anthony Spikes, 34, of Hayward allegedly stood over a naked Marcus Brackinridge, 38, and shot him in the stomach and head in the backyard of the victim’s parents’ home on the 500 block of Skyline Drive.
The two men were arguing over money when the defendant opened fire, said San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe. The victim’s parents were home at the time, as was a female prostitute who was owed money, Wagstaffe said.
Brackinridge’s mother saw the shooting and yelled out, prompting Spikes to fire at her through the a sliding door, Wagstaffe said. She was hit in the abdomen.
