Chris Christie is a Cowboys fan???!!!

It's not news to anyone out there that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is one of the Garden State's biggest Cowboys fans, and also one of its biggest Eagles-haters.

I don't have an issue if the guy isn't an Eagles fan but geez. He's the Governor of New Jersey and he was born in Newark NJ which is NY Giant fan territory. Half his state cheers on the NY Giants and the other half cheers on the Eagles with maybe a smattering of NY Jets fans in there too. So why the hell is he cheering on a team all the way down in Texas. Most of these players from New York and Philadelphia are living in New Jersey paying taxes to his state so why not cheer on them!

I would not have been upset if the guy was an Eagles fan. Someone born in Newark NJ is pretty much the heart of NY Giants territory. But seriously, the state is pretty much split by I195 between support for the NY/NJ teams and support for the Philly teams.

root for whichever team they want, but CC's allegiances are odd. Not only is he a Cowboys fan, but I also saw him at an A's game a few months ago with an A's hat on. The Yankees are much closer to NJ (and have more titles), so it's a little baffling why he isn't a fan of them instead.

Then again, I also regularly see people in the East Bay with Giants and 49ers gear even though the A's and Raiders are closer.
