5. I know huskies are popular dogs now, but they are not easy dogs.

They are intelligent, strong, strong-willed, have incredible endurance, and no tolerance for boredom. The amount of hair they shed is astonishing.

We have one from the animal shelter. Our next door neighbor has one too, another shelter dog. Ours likes to dig. Not small holes, but great pits and mounds. People give up huskies when they discover how much trouble they can be.

We live in a place where we frequently hear police sirens and these dogs cannot resist singing along. It's not so nice when you are trying to sleep.

We have two dogs who are big talkers, they walk right up to you and start speaking when they want something, wooo-woooo-woo-wah and other phrases, but it's not so easy to understand them. Mishka has a talent.
