Awwww! Now this is a couple of cute trick or treaters!

But thinking about it, we do need to think of our Four legged pals this Halloween.
Gail's Pet Tails: Trick-or-treaters may be too much for your four-legged companion
By Gail Krueger
By Gail Krueger

It's a dark and stormy night. For hours on end, the doorbell at your normally peaceful house rings and rings. When the door opens, strange creatures reach gnarled hands to grab small belongings from family members and run into the night laughing.

No matter what you do, you cannot make it stop.

You jump and scream back to make the terrible creatures leave. Your family, frightened out of their wits by the creatures, turns on you, yelling and even swatting at you. No matter how hard you try to protect your family, you are defeated.

Welcome to Halloween from the point of view of a dog.

(4th of July, too) when I'm not as sad that our 14-year-old dog doesn't hear very well anymore.
Though the dogs I've had seem to get used to the frequent Halloween visitors at the door, maybe the fact that they are kids makes them more acceptable.

... but for him the main problem is people with masks. He needs to see people's faces to figure out if they're friendly or not. He also has issues in the winter with scarves hiding faces.
