(27,677 posts)but he was amazing. He has an incredible gift of connecting with an audience. He made this 12,000 seat arena feel like an intimate night club. That said, I love the parodies, like Will Ferrell on SNL:
Neil Diamond Storytellers.

(22,000 posts)I'm outside the US so that's unlikely to ever happen unless he happens to come to Asia. I don't think he's popular here.

(15,220 posts)He's my all-time favorite concert. His band has been together with him for most of the years, and the band alone is amazing.
I've never been disappointed at a Neil concert. But why would anyone be disappoined? I mean, just look at the massive amount of material that he's got to sing!

(2,684 posts)He was playing the Pan Am Center in Las Cruces. My girl friend and I drove to Cruces, went to the ticket window and requested the two best seats left. We ended up fifth row from front, center stage. Great concert.
I wore out my first copy of 'Hot August Night'. I've often thought my dream job would be bass player for Neil Diamond.
