...except for the first time I bought it and when I went to take it out of the back of my SUV I "overlifted" and hit myself in the face.

But my husband accepted the "gift" of seven bags of cheap cat litter from a friend whose cats had all died off (naturally, nothing heinous). For some reason, he'd accumulated bags and bags which had gotten stashed away in his garage. My husband helped him clean out his garage and got the cat litter and eight sheets of 1/8 plywood. This is the worst cat litter I have ever used - it doesn't control odors, it doesn't clump at all so I can't sieve out the smelly parts and it tracks everywhere. The cat hates it. I need to give some of the bags away to people I know who work on their cars, ATVs, and tractors at home - it'd be great to absorb oil.

rejected it outright with a pee next to the litter box. So I went and got her regular stuff and we are back where we were.
I have tried to change litter on her 3 times and have lost 3 times.

I tried the corn litter and pine litter. He only likes clay. If he doesn't like it, he pees outside.

I tried the lightweight version, and it didn't control odor as well as the regular stuff. And it didn't last as long. It seemed like I went through a big jug in a couple of days. The regular stuff will last at least a week. I clean out the boxes a couple times a day.

Whenever we try the clumping, (much easier for the two legs) the cats start sneezing. And the SWheat Feline Pine won't work. The Cats won't use them. Once when I filled a box with Feline Pine, a cat walked into it, dug a pit, then took her dump outside the box to show her contempt for it.

I won't be using it until it's affordable, unfortunately.

I forget why, exactly, but I never bought it again.

I ran into a lady at the supermarket today (in the pet food aisle) who has seven cats!!

My Duchess passed away from unknown causes last week so we're down to 6. Two are inside kitties and everyone else are outside kitties.

We know that it's inevitable, but the permanent absence of one of our kitties is wrenching.

I don't want my cat sticking her nose in anything that is chemically produced, or made in China as some cat litter is.

Here's a low-budget way to make clay litter "clump". Add a cup of corn starch to it and stir. It's not perfect but it does make it easier to scoop. I also add baking soda to help conceal the smell.

Normally, I prefer the pine stuff but my stupid store is always running out of the inexpensive brand when I need it so I get clay litter to tide me over.
