i am enjoying what is likely one of my last shirt-sleeve porch evenings of the season

it's been mild a mild fall here in norther colorado, not many nights below freezing and not even a dusting of snow. i think i've turned on the heat twice. but that's all about to change.



i grew up here and have weathered some shitty winters, but last year was almost too much for me and i am not stoked about this. thank gods that, unlike last winter, i have a functioning heater in my car.

and he's not going to be a happy camper. i foresee the crock pot in my future.

Hell, here in Tucson it will be soon in the 70s. And that does not even take the wind chill factor into effect.

Edited to add: Didn't turn on the AC all day! Still had to use the ceiling fans though.

Cold I can dress for, but that barometric plunge is gonna be killer on joints. Not looking forward to it!
