The host is "a forensic geologist." Fine. So far he's got everybody from the Egyptians, Israelites, Aztecs, Maya, Norsemen, Phonecians, and everybody else traipsing around "America." Pyramids at the bottom of the Great Lakes, check. Ark of the Covenant, check.
I only watched one complete hour, then sampled bits from the marathon sessions, and there ought to be a drinking game for his phrase, "Hey, guys, I found something!1 ... I wonder what the heck it is!1" Then it's nothing. A signature ending is, well all the "scientific" tests were flunked but, hey, who is to say it couldn't happen!1
One guy had the temerity to challenge him about the Rune stone HOAX to his face, and the Forensic Geologist got his feathers ruffled then said something like, agree to disagree. He's a scientist, doncherknow, so he can ignore tested evidence.
In one about Davy CROCKETT, some property owners displayed a deed signed by a David CROCKETT in 1857, years after he died at the Alamo, giving rise to the Forensic Geologist's pondering whether CROCKETT did not die at the Alamo and lived out his life somewhere else. He visited a CROCKETT direct descendant who provided an authentic signature for comparison and she offered the common sense opinion that CROCKETT was a glory hound who would have TOLD EVERYBODY about escaping and staying quiet would have been totally out of character, besides that in that area there were three other "David/Davy CROCKETTs." She added that at every reunion some new relatives turn up, besides some that are not relatives. Anyway, at the end, with the signatures not matching, the Forensic Geologist concluded that, hey, it MIGHT have happened anyway, like, have you thought that General SANTA ANA and CROCKETT were both Masons and maybe Davy gave the sign and SANTA ANA spared him.
However, H2 today is doing "Clash of the Gods," really good: Oddysseus; Thor; Lord of the Rings...

I was back at Stanford last week and my 9:22 surgery slot was delayed past 7:00 pm, so I watched Netflix and napped.
My new favorite show is a BBC series called Sherlock. I'm hooked! I watched two long episodes.
It's really well done! If ever I have to cut the cable, I might be happy with streaming everything via Hulu and Netflix.

(68,644 posts)Kidding!
Last week was to go in and see why the incision won't heal. They found purulent material under the bone flap (piece of skull that was pulled for surgery), and cleaned it all up and sewed me back up, so I'm missing some skull.
But I will tell you that I feel great, and I'm still lucky that the original aneurism didn't kill me.
I hope you're well, too, friend!
They'll show anything, nowadays.

If only people were interested in real history, archaeology and science as they are in all this BS pseudoscience the networks like to promote.[/font]
