Hinterkaifeck Murders

The Hinterkaifeck Murders. March 1922, German farmer Andreas Gruber found footprints in the snow leading from the forest to his farm, but none leading back. Four days later neighbors found the Gruber family and their maid dead. The murder weapon was a pickaxe. Police interrogated over 100 suspects, the last one as recently as 1986, but the case remains unsolved.

A few days prior to the crime, farmer Andreas Gruber told neighbours about
discovering footprints in the snow leading from the edge of the forest to the farm,
but none leading back. He also spoke about hearing footsteps in the attic and finding
an unfamiliar newspaper on the farm. Furthermore, the house keys went missing several
days before the murders, but none of this was reported to the police.

there were four days between the footprints being found and the murders. I try to distill the essence of the story into the most bite-size piece because I know not everyone wants to read a long story. I hope people who are interested follow-up and research it for themselves. There are so many interesting stories in the world, I just try to point at them, and hope someone's eyes will follow the rest of the way.

I know I should follow up more but, time is limited and I don't always do like I should.

Lazy like that
