A Florida man was arrested for domestic battery over the weekend after police said that he assaulted his girlfriend because she made the wrong breakfast for his birthday.

A police report obtained by The Gainesville Sun, said that 44-year-old James E. Irving Jr. got in a fight with his girlfriend on Sunday because he wanted waffles for his birthday breakfast, but she had made pancakes instead.

The report stated that Irving poked the victim in the eye over the breakfast....

An Alachua County sheriff’s spokesperson told the The Gainesville Sun that jail staff served “fruit, grits, sausage, bread and butter” for breakfast on Monday.

Pancakes?! It's not like there's a Pancake House at every interstate exit!
