share your thankfuls

we don't say grace at thanksgiving, rather everyone at the table must share three things for which they are thankful.

1) i am thankful for the love in my life. two- and four-legged, the family into which i was born and the one i have built, irl and online (love you guys)

2) i am thankful that nearly everyone in my life is healthy

3) i am thankful for this face. this is our 17th thanksgiving together and she is the love of my heart.

1. Like you, 2 and 4 legged critters!

Great healthcare, survived an aneurism in May, head surgery for infection in June and again this month to remove the bone.

Feeling better than before the aneurism, go figure!

Invited to join my favorite family today and a house full of fun and games and dogs, no cats!

3. 17 years for your kitty, wow!

That's longer than I've ever done anything except breathe!

5. we've been together more than half my life

she can't really jump for crap anymore, but other than that, you wouldn't be able to guess she's so old.

4. I am thankful for DU and the friends I have found here

and for the (so far) 15 magical years with Mr. Dixie

and the joys and blessings of our feline and canine fur kids.

7. I'm thankful...

-I am healthy and physically fit
-I get to attend a 4-year university (Humboldt)
-I don't have to live with my parents
-That dating sites exist (since I am shy around women)
-My family and friends are doing OK
-I still have my hair and can do something about my hairline
-I live in a blue state
-I have a regular (albeit small) source of income
-I don't have to starve like some people do
