(4,056 posts)I rode my bike yesterday to Stonestown UA Cinema to see "Rosewater" then came home, had soup and crackers and texted everyone a Happy T Day.
NO RW relatives or anyone to harsh my warm-weather buzz!

(35,658 posts)If so, here's mine. I already had three TG dinners before yesterday, so I had no desire to do it again. This is with relatives and friends who had traveling or other dinners to do on TG.
Spent yesterday all alone with my kitties, which I loved. The quiet was wonderful and even the neighbors were gone. Total silence, quiet, peace. Just beautiful, with the snow and all. OK, one friend was here for part of the day, but he later left to go to Manhattan for TG dinner with his cousin.
Then I worked backwards from the the best thing about Thanksgiving is the leftovers concept: what kind of leftovers are best?
CHINESE!
So I made chicken kung pao, and was it ever good. I woke up craving it this a.m.!
Thenand this is the best partsome wild turkeys arrived in my front yard! They were beautiful. You know, a lot of times wild turkeys can look kinda scroungy, but these guys were beautiful, with the sunlight reflecting off their beautiful feather colors. I had once read up on what wild turkeys eat, so I knew I couldnt go wrong with a bag of peanuts. I threw practically a whole bag out there and they had a ball. Got hit in the head a few times with some peanuts, but that didnt scare them away.
I liked how they came to the front yard, like, "Neener, neener, neener, we're still alive." Nuthin' like an in-your-face turkey.
After providing food for the turkeys, I thought about my atypical Thanksgiving and the irony of providing the turkeys with a feast.
