It is slightly over an hour long, but I thought that they did a great job capturing the vibe of the original series and the video work is high quality. Most of the cast are new actors with the actors playing Spock, Scotty and the other Vulcan manning the science station being holdovers from earlier episodes.

The producers (Cawley Productions) purchased larger facilities earlier this year and they should start cranking out 3-4 episodes per year. The producer (who has played Capt. Kirk in earlier episodes) made a cameo as the Elvis impersonator.

Watched it last night. Seemed pretty faithful to the original story. I thought the actor playing Spock was channeling Quinto more than Nimoy, but did fine. Have you seen any episodes of the OTHER fan made TOS, "Star Trek Continues"? Here's a sequel to my favorite episode "Mirror, Mirror".

I think they did even better in capturing the look of the original in lighting. Grant Imahara of "Mythbusters" plays Sulu.

I've watched the episodes in Star Trek Continues. The two fan-based series are both good efforts to revive the original series. Both series look like they will have episodes coming on early 2015.
