Lounge: help me place two movie/TV scenes I remember but can't remember what they're from
1. Comedy of some sort. A cop has complained his boss doesn't throw him against the wall and talk about all the shit he's taking from the chief because of the cop's antics. ("Well, I don't report to a chief, I report to a half-elected, half-appointed control board that requires six members for a quorum..." (The boss looked like a combination of Alan Arkin and Dann Florek -- and possibly was one of the two -- if that helps.) The boss later throws him against the wall and says he's lucky to still have his badge, and then calls him "paisano" and walks off, then comes back and sheepishly asks, "was that too far, with the ethnic slur?"
2. A mockumentary. Somebody is being interviewed and is kind of visibly upset that they don't use a 1940s-style clapperboard and say "action". The interviewer tries very patiently to explain that that was a legacy of when audio and video were recorded on two different physical reels and isn't necessary anymore.
