sometimes I just want to yell: "I LOVE MY DOG!"

He just got one of his Xmas presents a bit early -- an extra large orthopedic foam bed. He seem to know from the moment it came in the door. I took the tag off and placed in on the floor. Told him it was for him but not to chew on. He sniffed it, pawed it and then went right to middle of it and is laying there with his eyes half closed. He loves it.

He carries his own leash up the stairs -- I never taught him or asked him to. He just does it.

He tries to kiss you when you bend down to refill his water bowl. It is like he is saying "thank you."

and he does this when you talk to him...

I don't think I have the best dog in the world -- I think it is a 10-million way tie with yours and everyone else's for first place.

she liked any NOVA with animals, the cats, the birds, the dogs, whatever, but she really loved watching Lassie reruns... or did until - dum dum dum dum Lassie was attacked by a rabid dog. the cries upset her and she ran out of the room, then when ever I would try to turn it on and she heard the theme music, she would leave the room, could no longer enjoy that show, but when she heard NOVA music, she would run in and jump on the couch.
Best dog in the world until she passed, then I got unknown breed Holly, the hugging dog, who understands the word "soon" but not the words "no Barking" She always barks after I say that as if to say Noooo

But he does understand "wait" which is cool.

He likes to watch us play Jenga. particularly.

Dogs are great! My big bear has a big foam bed, too, but he prefers a regular mattress so he can stretch out. He can't get on a couch or bed but when my son has a sleepover, the dog gets on a mattress on the floor.

classic bed hog but this Lab is more of a curler. He has a crib mattress in the front room. I like it because it is a good size for him and you can get fitted sheets for it.

It's like he's "thinking it over."

What would life be without dogs (and cats)?

I have a black lab too - at dinnertime, she gives me a kiss after I pour food into her bowl.

She doesn't turn her head like yours, but she does 'talk' a lot.

What's his name? Mine's is Luna.

And you can see the intelligence in his eyes... Thanks for posting the video! I love my dog, too, just realized that we've been together almost 8 1/2 years!
