Hilarious....Tie Your Mother Down by Queen:

With lyrics:

Live in Montreal, 1981:

Some of us have never gotten over our teenage crushes. Except that now they're mature gentlemen in their 60s and 70s.
In my case it started with John, Paul and George in 1964 on the Ed Sullivan Show, when the Beatles blew America's collective mind.

Read an excellent in-depth biography of John that's about 600 pages long that really shows both sides of the people in his family.

It's called JOHN LENNON:THE LIFE by Philip Norman. 817 pages, including a postscript called Sean Remembers. The author talked to lots of people.

I read it in three days when my house was empty and I had nothing to do--I was moving. That's probably a new personal world record for speed reading for me, and I'm a voracious reader.

I thought of them as: sexgod - sexgod - sexgod - drummer.

I have always loved that song and only in the past couple of years understood that it was also an homage to one of DC's favorite restaurants! (I know you knew that… )

Check it out! http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/starland-vocal-bands-afternoon-delight-still-being-served-after-35-years/2011/06/28/gIQA5VCl3H_story.html

But Starland Vocal Band wasn’t singing about bombs bursting in air on the suddenly ubiquitous folk-pop ditty “Afternoon Delight.” The harmonic hit was actually about post meridiem lovemaking. The sexually suggestive soft-rock song was written by Starland’s Bill Danoff after he’d made a teatime trip to Clyde’s of Georgetown, where he sometimes sang with his wife, Taffy Nivert. The D.C. duo performed as both Bill and Taffy and Fat City, and they’d struck gold as songwriters when John Denver scored a hit with their song “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”For “Afternoon Delight,” Bill and Taffy doubled up, adding two friends from the D.C. scene, Jon Carroll and Margot Chapman, who would later marry (and, like Bill and Taffy, later divorce).

I think this would seriously be my number one:

It came up on my Ipod shuffle during my workout today and I thought of this thread. Then I realized that most of the songs in my workout mix are pure sex songs. Go figure. Some of my honorary mentions:

Sex Type Thing by Stone Temple Pilots
Fat Bottom Girls by Queen
Some Like it Hot by Power Station
Give it Away by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Laid by James
Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood

Hey, sometimes subtlety is overrated
