he's a big dog so this has to be done outside. If he gets a glimpse of the hose or shampoo or towels, he will head for another part of the yard and turn into a 2 ton statue. What I do is get everything ready outside and my son tells the dog they are going out to play basketball. He LOVES to be out with the kids when they play ball. We get him onto the court and then I sneak up with the hose.

He likes it once he's all done. It's just the initial idea of a bath that he hates.

We do need to be able to view the proceedings to ensure you aren't torturing your puppy

Most often it's after he has once again nearly caught one of those invading cats with the racing stripe in his backyard. He comes up expecting to be praised and instead he gets yelled at and tossed in the tub because this has happened repeatedly and always at bedtime.

When I first found lucky, my b/w female, she needed a flea bath, and even though she has no claws, she bit me twice, drawing blood both times!

I once knew a dog named Ringo who liked being bathed, so long as he was sponged and wiped by the two legs.

But then he shared a dog house with a cat named Sam, like spaghetti and appreciated that the cat kept his food safe from rodents.
